Ammonium Perchlorate

Ammonium Perchlorate

Premium Quality & International Level

The ammonium perchlorate produced by AEQ is composed of rounded grains that optimize the performance of any propellant, classifying it as a premium product on the market.

AEQ meets all international specifications, including all requirements determined by the U.S. and European norms, for the use of ammonium perchlorate throughout the world.

Exclusive Properties

The ammonium perchlorate produced by AEQ can be manufactured in specific particle size, according to the following dimensions:

  • Fine: 20-90 microns
  • Medium: 200 microns
  • Coarse: 400 microns

Ammonium Perchlorate is primarily used as the oxidiser in the manufacture of solid fuel rocket propellants. When AP is mixed with a fuel (like a powdered aluminium and/or with an elastomeric binder), it can generate self-sustained combustion at far under atmospheric pressure. It is an important oxidizer with a decades-long history of use in solid rocket propellants — space launch (including the Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster), military, amateur, and hobby high-power rockets, as well as in some fireworks.
